Below are some general guidelines for posting on the MND Forum:

1. Please make sure that your signatures and forum profiles are clean. There are younger members here! If you wouldn't see it on network TV, don't post it here.

2. PLEASE DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS. Capital letters are harder to read and are universally accepted as a form on "online shouting". No one likes it when they meet someone new who talks way too loud - the same rules apply here.

3. Although you are always welcome to post your opinions, please remain respectful of the opinions of other people here. Do not call people names or resort to hurling insults simply because someone does not agree with you. If you treat others with respect, you will receive it in return.

4. Please be sure that you are posting in the forum that best fits your topic. All of the forums have a description following their name so it should be fairly clear what subjects are appropriate.

5. If someone posts something that you find offensive, do not fan the flames by posting angry retorts and insults. Send a private message to the moderator so that they can make a decision about how to handle the situation. Posting angry replies will generally only encourage the situation to escalate.

6. If someone posts something that you feel is pointless or "stupid" - please be mature and simply ignore it. Posting a reply to a pointless thread only keeps it at the top of the thread list where it may never die.

7. Do not EVER under ANY circumstance post phone numbers or personal street addresses on the boards. Yours, someone else's, it doesn't matter. Posts with phone numbers and/or addresses in them will be immediately deleted and you could be banned.

Thank you for your cooperation.
