Is the government using crime to their advantage by using it as an excuse to by expensive equipment and get kickbacks?

These purchases should be carefully scrutinised. Government is spending wastefully on anticrime equipment wihtout results. The people should demand an explanation from their elected representatives for these ridiculous purchases. Anyone with common sense could see that these purchases dont make sense..so why is it the Minister of National security is detemined to proceed with these frivolous buys?Obviously he and his colleagues have something to gain..b/c the ordinary man on the street definitely is not gaining from these purchases.

It is always disheartening to see how Trinibagonians act with matters of corruption and government. The whole Basdeo Panday incident was another joke that people laughed about when it should be a serious matter.

Crime is rampant but why don't the people understand there power. If the people pick themselves up and march en masse to White Hall I have doubt we can get what we want done. I am sure we can get answers to the questions we ask everyday.

What happens above will reflect the society. We have government Ministers being charged on several accounts - a new low.

I don't see why the Government would use crime as an avenue to buy expensive equipment. Clearly, they must understand that these big gadgets will not solve the problems. It will not think for them. What needs to be done is serious strategic planning and improvement of social and economics structures. With this we will see a reduction in crime - trust me.
